Girls cricket and Football
The girls cricket team had another brilliant performance this week and some girls took part in the everyone active cup and performed brilliantly. We also celebrated national girls football day and loads of the girls took part.
This week we had the girls year 5/6 cricket team in action at K2 on Thursday. The girls continued the schools good form at competitions and produced another 1st place! Out of the 14 schools that entered it came down to a local derby in the final vs Northgate, which we just edged winning by 9 runs. Well done girls!
On Thursday this week we entered the year 5 girls everyone active cup. The girls did brilliantly well, drawing 3 games, winning 1 and losing 2. They were all competitive games and were played with great enthusiasm.
Then on Friday we celebrated national girls football day at lunch time with the girls taking over all three football pitches for the afternoon! We had over 60 girls come throughout the hour and a big thank you to the year 5/6 boys who helped officiate the games!
