Three Bridges Primary School

Governor Bios

Lisa De Noronha

I'm a local mum of two young children, having moved to Three Bridges in 2016. My son joined Three Bridges Primary in 2020 and my daughter will join in 2024. Knowing that our family life will be focused around the school for the next ten years, I wanted to become a governor to really get to know the school and how it ticks. I hope as a parent governor I can support the school as it builds on its achievements and work towards its long term goals and vision.

Professionally, I’m an ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service. I specialise in resolving complex problems and communicating to a wide audience. I believe my skills and experience will enable me to be an effective governor.

Shivani Patel

My name is Shivani Patel and I have recently been appointed as a parent Governor.

I am an artist by Profession. I have a daughter in Reception.

As a governor my goal is to support the school in creative ways to make education fun for children and to understand the school policies and curriculum.

I believe my skills and experience will enable me to be an effective Governor.

Nick Hilton

My name is Nick Hilton and have been a co-opted governor since February 2023 . During the 2023 summer term I was elected Vice Chair of the full Governing board. I work in a compliance role for a large Government department

I recently moved back to Three Bridges and was actually a pupll at the lower site over 50 years ago ! I have experience of being a governor in the 1990s and was a Chair of governors at a school in Bewbush for over two years. I was also a councillor on Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex Council for a total of nine years which included sitting on the County Council's Education Committee .

Three Bridges Primary School is an important part of the local community and I am pleased to have an opportunity to give something back to the area I live in.  I have particular responsibilities for disadvantaged pupils and pupil premium.  I appreciate that Governors have an important role by working with the Headteacher and all staff to ensure that all pupils can thrive in a safe environment where they have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Sunny

After a decade of experience in education, specialising in special educational needs, I felt it was time to give back to my local community. I am deeply committed to ensuring that all children have access to high-quality education and are empowered to reach their full potential.

Having moved to Crawley in late 2023, I believe that serving as a governor at Three Bridges Primary School is the most impactful way to do this.

Professionally, I work as a contractor for various Local Authorities within their Special Educational Needs (SEND) departments. Currently, I am part of a Quality and Improvement Team, and I look forward to using my expertise to support the best outcomes for Three Bridges Primary School.

Claire

I am a staff governor who has been working at Three Bridges Primary School for 6 years.

I have been teaching for 25 years and can honestly say that I have loved every minute of it.

My current role is as an Assistant Head of Teaching and Learning on the Lower Site. This role involves supporting and assisting the Head teacher and Deputy head teacher to implement the shared vision and values of the school. I have worked across both sites and have enjoyed both equally.

I am also the reading and phonics lead, a role that I really enjoy as I am passionate about children learning to read and having the joy of burying themselves inside the adventures of a good book.

As a staff governor, I am able to share my educational background, knowledge and experience of the school.

Will

My name is Will Kane and I have lived in Crawley for 5 years with my wife and our crazy cockapoo, Tilly! I have a real passion for the town of Crawley and seeing young people achieve their purpose and dreams.

I am ordained in the Church of England and serving my training post (curacy) at Church Crawley, which covers St John's in the town centre, St Peters in West Green and St Richard's in Three Bridges (the church opposite the upper site). I am mainly based at St Richard's and so have a massive passion for the Three Bridges community and the people and places in it.

Three Bridges Primary school is an integral part of the community, and it is a real privilege to serve the school in this way and see it step into all it's called to be.
